Disruption is intrinsic to retail development. Australia’s current retail environment is bookended by two fundamental disruptions: the transformation of urban geographies by the spread of cars from the 1950s that helped produce supermarkets and shopping centres and current transformations resulting from e-commerce, accelerated by COVID-19 challenges. In this webinar, academic and industry speakers examined the past, present and future of retailing in Australia and the implications of current disruptions on employees, businesses, and shoppers.
